Summer Programme 2016

 Summer Sketching Programme 2016

Come and join us and enjoy some nice days out painting & sketching! There’s no charge to join in – we are a mixed group of painters with variable abilities – no need to be shy! We hail from various sources including Dudley and Kidderminster art societies and include a few individuals who paint elsewhere. We offer a certain amount of safety in numbers and camaraderie as well as varied subject matter – open landscape, water, gardens, woodlands, buildings and no doubt more. We are meeting every Thursday morning about 10.00 although some individuals like to start earlier or later, and we continue until we have had enough or the weather turns on us.

All we ask is that members take full responsibility for their own safety just as they would if visiting independently and pay their way with any admission charges or donations to charities asked by some venues. We stress that the organisers cannot take any responsibilities for individual mishaps!

To help you find the venues with have given some starting information but suggest checking on the map before starting. Some of the venues are marked with an asterisk and we would particularly like a good turn-out on these occasions as these are venues whereby special arrangements have been made for us to be able to visit private gardens or places which have agreed opening times not normally available to the general public – so please try to support these to avoid embarrassing the person making the arrangements. Also pubs and cafes often allow parking but it is rather expected that we patronise them in some way e.g buy sandwiches or a cuppa and churches always appreciate a small donation

The named person is one of the group who has agreed to be present in case anyone is wondering if they would be on their own, however, if the weather is wet on the day, it can be assumed that the meeting will be cancelled. Also, churches may be required for services mid-week so alternative arrangements may be required nearer the date.

  • Thursday 28th July. The group will be meeting at 10.00 at BROADWATERS PARK KIDDERMINSTER. A small donation is requested for the group of gardeners looking after the site.  Facilities: Toilets. Please bring your own food or you can visit a local pub.
