party time 20019

Fabulous spread for our Christmas party. Special thanks to Jennie, ably assisted by Lesley, for the fabulous food. Thanks to Jim, Kevin, the other Kevin, Shelley, Ed, and everyone else who helped set-up the tables and put them away again at the end of the evening. I had great fun putting the quizzes together and I hope everyone enjoyed doing them. Normal services will be now be resumed in our household; much to Kevin’s delight! Thanks too to Jennie for sorting out prizes for the raffle and the quiz. I hope everyone enjoyed the evening! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. See you all in 2020.

10 October – reflection

Well that was a fun evening! Some great drawings and paintings based on some of the reflective items everyone brought in. Good work!
A very special thank you to Clive Betts for his informative presentation on reflections, I think we all learnt something!

Hartlebury Castle exhibition

Our exhibition in the fabulous Bishops Palace at Hartlebury Castle during September was a great success. With over 1000 visitors during the Open Heritage Weekend, we had good exposure and we sold a couple of paintings as well! We hope to get asked back again next year.

12 September 2019 – Life Drawing

Our next meeting will be on 12th September at Trimpley Village Hall and I am pleased to say we will have a life model. There will be a small charge of £3 for members and £5 for non members for this event. Bring along your charcoal, pastels or chalks and a support or hard-backed pad or easel. 7.15 pm prompt start.

8 August 2019 – Portraits

This month our theme is ‘portraits’. We kick off on Thursday 8th with a ‘face to face’ session at Trimpley Village Hall doing quick sketches of each other. Bring your pencils, charcoal and paints for a fun evening.

Thank you everyone who came to our appraisal evening and brought in their sketches and paintings of portraits. Some fantastic work! Lovely to see how everyone tackled the subject.

25 July 2019 – Appraisal

Everyone has been really productive this month and there were lots of amazing paintings and sketches to share and enjoy. The theme of Urban Sketching proved a popular subject, especially when complimented with a trip out and a social get together afterwards. Thank you everyone who attended and helped out at the meeting last night.

11 July – Outdoor Sketching

This evening we will be meeting at Weavers Wharf carpark for our urban sketching challenge. The carpark is free after 6.30 so see you there! PS: Don’t forget to bring your paintings for Foleys exhibition.

A great evening sketching finished off with a get together for a drink and to share our efforts. A heavy shower of rain drove us there!

20 June – Sketching vehicles

What a great evening at member Sandra’s house sketching motorbikes and variety of jeeps and other vehicles! It was great to get outside and enjoy the garden and the lovely weather. Thank you Sandra for the invitation, the tea, coffee and biscuits; everyone really enjoyed it!
