3 March 2016 – Rob Leckey Presentation

This Thursday 3rd March 2016, Kidderminster Art Society are looking forward to welcoming Rob Leckey ARBSA.

R Lecky 01 R Leckey 02 R Leckey 03Rob works with acrylic paint and ink, collage and mixed media. The acrylics are applied with rollers, pieces of shaped wood, card and any found materials. Collage materials comprise of torn or shaped tissue paper, newsprint, and magazine illustrations. Details are also added with oil and chalk pastels, pen and ink.

Rob says “By the very nature of how I apply the collage, paint and inks I can never fully predict the outcome. Along the way many accidents happen, interesting colours and unique shapes emerge”. Boats and harbours, landscape, town and cityscapes all provided inspiration for Rob’s impressionist style.

Come along to Trimpley Village Hall and enjoy a fascinating insight to Rob’s techniques. Start time 7.15 pm. Guests welcome for the usual entrance fee of £5 on the door.

18 Feb 2016 – AGM

Dear Members,

Thank you to everyone who came and supported Kidderminster Art Society’s AGM on Thursday. I am sure you will agree that we have a great club with lots of varied activities with an active committee who dedicate a good deal of time and energy to ensure that we have an interesting , sometimes challenging, events programme and that everything runs smoothly.

This year we welcomed some new committee members who replaced others who, having served for some time, decided it was time to stand down.  A full list of the committee membes will be posted here soon.

In the meantime, please find the Chairman’s report here.

18 Feb KAS AGM

Tonight’s meeting is the Kidderminster Art Society’s AGM. This is an opportunity for members to nominate and vote for members to sit on the committee.

Attendees will also have the chance to find out what events have been planned for the coming year. It’s going to be good!

So come along and support your society.
