This evening Shelley Waring did a presentation about Zentangles. These are miniature pieces of unplanned, abstract, black and white art created on a 3.5-inch (89 mm) square paper tile. The method is simple and based on drawing a few lines and then completing the sections in contrasting patterns. Zentangles are not only beautiful, they are fun and relaxing to create.
The Zentangle may remind you of the current ‘colouring-in’ craze sweeping the country at the moment. There are loads of books out there, mainly aimed the adults, which are full of designs both real and imaginary just for the relaxation and fun of colouring in.
